My Project

Each and every one of my students have and continue to inspire me on a day-to-day basis. A large majority face a countless number of unique challenges as brand new immigrants to this country. On top of acclimating to a completely new culture and learning a second language, most have additional responsibilities on top of prioritizing education, such as parenting as well as working full-time to financially support themselves and their families. Despite navigating these hardships as young adults, they still show up to school with a positive attitude eager to learn each day. I would like to gift these materials to constantly remind and encourage my students to keep pushing, especially on the days they feel like nothing matters. Ultimately, I would also like these important individuals to know that their hard work does not go unnoticed, and that their identities are ones to constantly be celebrated and valued.
