My students need a crucial upgrade to technology used on a daily basis. This particular technology, a SATA III Internal SSD, is utilized to create, revise, and publish in the classroom.

My Students
Our students are amongst a diverse group of individuals that are looking to make their mark on the world. As schools explore and implement technology, our scholars are asked to take on much more each year to prepare them for college, trade schools, and life. The option has been eliminated for them to learn or not to learn new technologies, it is simply to learn them and harness them to become life long learners. The common theme amongst students are that they can learn, utilize, and become advanced at technologies that come out and the expectation of them to use them; however, most students only have this access available to them at school. It is imperative that the technology must work. I open my doors early and at lunch, or anytime needed so they can utilize what is in class so they can be successful. Sometimes it's applying for an online only job position, submitting college applications, checking emails, and also completing work and assignments for not only my class, but others.

My Project
The biggest adversary, aside from not having technology, is technology that has slowed down and is need of a desperate upgrade. The small, seemingly behind the scenes Solid State Drive will be an asset to the classroom and upgrade a outdated and slow piece of technology that is utilized on a daily basis and deliver on demand. This may seem like a small piece of the larger puzzle, but without key components coming together, students face long wait times, daunting tasks uncompleted, and have to forge through resources to complete given assignments outside of class.
Technology is used daily and needed in order to continue the fast paced production, revision, and publication of text.
Students learn and utilize technology to become better writers. Through interactive demonstrations and personal writing the technology is an asset to completing tasks.
