Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." -Malcolm X
My students are amazing in every way possible.
Hardworking, persistent, creative, and intelligent--they are all capable of attaining their goals and ambitions. My students attend a very small school in a very small town, so it sometimes hard to get materials that they need because of limited funds.
I have no doubt that my students will go on to do amazing things, and it is because of their potential that I want the best for them. Please help me prepare my students for tomorrow by preparing them today!
My Project
My students need access to more reading material. With a subscription to the high school focused Upfront Magazine by the New York Times students will have access to relevant news stories that are written with them in mind.
Some students need a little bit more reading practice.
With a subscription, I can target specific reading skills for students that need the extra help. With this subscription students will have access to reading material that covers a variety of non-fiction topics that are relevant to them and the world that they live in.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
