This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are lucky to live in a world with new books. Students race through our classroom library on "Chapter Book Friday" and are always looking for something new to read. In particular, students really enjoy historical fiction and graphic novels.
I want to continue Chapter Book Friday and grow their love for reading.
These newer novels are recommended by the American Library Association and students. History, fantasy, romance, and even just jokes make them all keepers. Students often comment, "This is the first book I have read in years!" I want to make sure it isn't the last.
