Help me give my students SlabMats. These will help them create more even slabs for building projects. We recently got wheels for the studio and are in need of some bats.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This school is one of the most diverse in the Los Angeles area, and I aim to make my classroom reflect my students. When students are able to connect to their communities through the making process, they become more engaged in their academic pursuits.
I strive to create an environment for my students to explore and challenge themselves while learning to work with clay.
I want to take their abilities to the next level by giving them tools to grow with their skills and imaginations. Allowing my students to push their projects into a more professional practice encourages them to consider the limitless possibilities for them in the future.
