My students need two headset broadcast microphones to use during our daily morning news show. We have two teams, with eight students each, that alternate weeks to do the news show.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are like sponges when it comes to mastering new tech!

Every morning one of our 8 student broadcast teams does a 5 minute newscast to start the school day.

Our teams rotate through all of the jobs needed to create a successful news broadcast, including anchors, reporters and behind the scenes crew. Our broadcast reaches not only the students, but to their parents can access it too!

Our world is a technology world! Teachers today are not only fostering the minds of our future, they are creating the STEAM kids of our future!

My Project

Our news anchors and reporters need headset microphones to keep their hands free.

Our tech voyage allows around 20 students to learn the ins and outs of what it takes to produce a news show.

These 20 students have the privilege of informing our school community of about 850 students and staff about any upcoming events, reminders, lunch schedules and weather.

We currently have handheld microphones that are starting to show wear and are in need of repair. Theses headsets would be a tremendously appreciated gift to the students.

Our kids work hard and do their best to provide fun, quality news to their peers!
