Help me give my students up to date iPads so I can use them to help them with coding apps and programs that our district loaned tablets will not run.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach second grade in the heart of Los Angeles. These students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, rich cultures, and brighten my room with their special experiences. The students I teach have been deeply impacted by the pandemic and this is their first time really experiencing being in school for a full school year. This, coincidentally, is my first year teaching in LAUSD as well.
There has been a lot of learning on both ends and I am thrilled and blessed to be working with group of kids I have and their families.
Given the current state of global health many of my students have been in and out of class whether contracting Covid themselves or having to be in quarantine for close contact.
I want my students and their families to have the best possible options for academic success while also feeling safe. Many of my students have never been introduced to critical 21st century skills that will be vital to their future success. And the tech we have is just not up to date enough for me to teach them the foundational skills they will surely need in the future.
My Project
This donation will be impactful in my classroom because all of my students are interested in learning to code and web design but the school loaned tech is too old and outdated to handle the applications and programs that I would like to use for my students.
My students are already at a disadvantage because of the economic hardships and lack of community resources, I would like to provide them with an opportunity to learn these skills that no doubt will impact their future leaning.
I have tried to utilize the tools available to us but unfortunately it's not enough. Some of the programs I plan on teaching my students to use on the iPads is TinkerCad, Scratch Coding, and Arcade Maker to name a few.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
