This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I will use these novels to introduce to my students to a series of books suspenseful enough to keep them engaged and rich enough to raise questions that apply to the their world.
For many, these will be the first books my students will encounter.
These books should be ones that have elements dramatic enough to keep the pages turning.
My students are dedicated to improving their skills as readers and writers, but finding materials within their grasp can be challenging. The Unwind series offers access to the thrill of a great story, so students can begin to see reading as something welcoming and not forbidding.
