Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Summertime is around the corner, and I want my students to continue practicing the skills we covered during the school year. By playing the Uno game, my students will enhance their mental skills such as strategic thinking, problem-solving, turn-taking, following rules, and being a good sport. Uno has been a staple in my engagement with my students, helping them learn coping skills to decrease anxiety and frustration while developing healthy emotional expression. I want to give them the cards to take with them and use them to keep learning and having fun with their siblings and friends.
