it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our school, the stage is set, and the excitement is palpable as our fourth-grade dancers prepare to dazzle audiences with their rendition of "Revolting Children" from the beloved musical, Matilda. However, behind the curtains lies a challenge that threatens to dim their enthusiasm – the lack of proper costumes for our male identifying dancers.
In a community where financial resources are often stretched thin, our school, a proud Title I institution, strives to provide every opportunity for our students to shine.
For many of these budding performers, this production represents their first and perhaps only chance to experience the joy of dance on stage. Through donations, we have been able to find costumes for our female identifying performers; however, male identifying dancers are less common in the dance world.
We believe in the transformative power of the arts, and through this project on DonorsChoose, we aim to ensure that our young dancers have the costumes they need to bring their performance to life. Your support will not only provide them with the attire they require but also instill in them a sense of pride and confidence as they step into the spotlight.
