My Project

I teach high school level EC inclusion and resource Math. High school students are adolescents with continuously developing brains. Cell Phones are an addiction that have been proven to provide the same dopamine rush as Cocaine. Asking teenagers to self-regulate an addiction is an exercise in futility at BEST.

Help me get them to unplug safely, then engage their minds to effectively learn Math, logic, and critical thinking skills.

I need a safe, lock box to put student cell phones during class that keeps them from being easily accessible, but keeps htem safe and able to go with us in the event of a fire. With the removal of their devices, they will need something to fill the void in terms of a fidget toy. Fidgets are designed to aid in focus for people with ADHD. It helps to focus the brain by utilizing the part of the brain that disengages and wanders in thought. When that part is occupied, it is easier to listen and focus on the lesson or conversation at hand.

I also need some Math resources that help bring Math into the real world and gets students thinking critically about how they would go about finding the answer.

Please help my students become the best version of themselves as they are able to focus on the lesson and complete their work with minimal distractions.
