My Project

To ease the transition into middle school, the school counselor proposes providing all 5th grade students with their actual future locker combination locks for practice. This initiative aims to reduce anxiety, ensure timely class arrivals in middle school, and support teacher requests. Currently, practice is limited to about 30 shared locks, but weekly counseling sessions offer a great opportunity for consistent, hands-on experience. The long-term goal is to create a sustainable system where middle schools send used locks back for future 5th graders. This effort will build student confidence and help them master a skill that can otherwise be challenging.
