My Project
My students are bright, curious, and full of potential, but many of them face challenges in building a strong vocabulary base.
This can impact their comprehension across all subject areas and sometimes hinders their ability to express themselves confidently.
To address this need, I envision creating sets of engaging and interactive vocabulary cards. These won't just be simple flashcards; I plan to incorporate visuals, context clues, and opportunities for active use, making vocabulary acquisition a more dynamic and enjoyable process. By having these tangible resources, my students can work independently, in pairs, or during targeted small group instruction to master new words and deepen their understanding of language.
In addition to academic growth, fostering a positive and supportive classroom environment is paramount. Like many classrooms, we sometimes encounter behavioral challenges that can disrupt learning. To proactively support my students in making positive choices, I want to implement personalized behavior key rings. These key rings will serve as visual reminders of expected behaviors and can be used as a discreet and consistent tool throughout the school day. By providing these individualized supports, I aim to empower my students to take ownership of their behavior, build self-regulation skills, and contribute to a more harmonious learning community. These key rings will be a proactive strategy, offering gentle guidance and positive reinforcement.
