Unlocking Information With Breakout Edu

Help me give my students the challenge and excitement they are craving! With this project we will be able to do "escape room" style lessons.

My Students

I have an incredible group of highly energetic, curious, and excited 6th graders. They are part of the Chinese Dual Immersion program and are very eager hard working kids. They really enjoy learning especially social studies and math. They love collaborating with their peers and learning in exciting hands-on ways.

My students love a challenge!

They are goal and service oriented. They complete community service projects, serve the school as lunch workers, safety patrol, and first grade buddies. They look for opportunities to serve others and make people feel special and valued.

My Project

The Breakout Edu kit will help my students get moving and learning to collaborate with peers while learning and reviewing key concepts. This project will help my kids to stay excited and engaged.

The Breakout Edu kit along with the books and games will make a difference in my classroom because it will enable my students to feel empowered as they accomplish their goals.

The kit will contain locks, tools, box, clues to unlock the box, and access to their platform. Through the use of the Breakout EDU kits and access to the platform, students will be required to utilize communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity to solve complex clues, riddles, questions, and utilize technology resources. The Breakout Edu platform will give us access to hundreds of educational challenges. This will help create a cooperative classroom environment with students who persevere through challenges and will help me to reach all styles of learners.

I have also chosen a variety of literature books, games, and math manipulatives. These tools will help me to focus and reinforce a specific skill and key standard.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to utilize these resources in our class. The books and games will also help to teach and reinforce key concepts. I am grateful for any support you are able to give!
