This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Osmo accessories for tangrams, math tiles, and costume stories will significantly enhance my students' learning in our STEAM classroom by providing interactive, hands-on experiences that make abstract concepts tangible. These tools, used in conjunction with our existing iPads, will improve their understanding of geometric concepts, math skills, and foster creativity through storytelling. By combining physical manipulation with digital feedback, students will gain deeper comprehension and retain information more effectively, aligning with the principles of STEAM education by integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

My goals for this project are to enhance student engagement and motivation through interactive and enjoyable activities, strengthen foundational math and geometry skills, encourage creativity and critical thinking, and foster a love for learning.

By making educational activities fun and interactive, I aim to create a more dynamic and effective learning environment that integrates multiple disciplines.

My students are incredibly special because they are curious, eager to learn, and full of potential. They come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique perspectives and experiences to our STEAM classroom. Despite any challenges they may face, they show resilience and a strong desire to grow academically and personally. Their enthusiasm for learning and their ability to support and inspire each other make our classroom a vibrant and dynamic community.
