My Project

I am a new teacher in the district, and since I started teaching in my classroom, my Grade 7 and 8 students enjoy our FRIDAY FUN DAY. One activity I have noticed that sparked their interest is using arts and crafts for their self-expression and exploration. However, there is just enough resources in my classroom to help my students achieve their artistic expression that can tap their creativity and communication in ways that transcend verbal or academic limitations. For me to achieve all of this, we need a printer to printout various art activities. Furthermore, I have noticed that they enjoy coloring and painting. Thus, having a new set of paintbrush, paint, crayons and watercolor can develop their skills in appreciating and expressing themselves through arts and crafts. Also, during FRIDAY FUN DAY, my students is fond of playing with playing clays and other sensory toys that provides tactile stimulation which can help them keep calm and regulate their emotions. In addition, one of my priority is maintaining the cleanliness and organization inside the classroom. I believe that a tidy and well-organized space promotes focus, productivity, and a sense of calm for both my students and I.
