My Project

I serve a high-poverty student population with a wide range of learning styles and several students with special needs. My classroom is full of energy, imagination, and potential and I am committed to nurturing each child’s growth through creativity, structure, and meaningful learning experiences.

A MacBook would be a vital tool in our classroom.

It would allow me to create differentiated digital and print materials, track academic and IEP progress, and strengthen communication with families. I plan to use Keynote to bring stories and lessons to life with visual aids and animations, and iMovie to help students create class projects that give them voice and pride in their work.

Music is also a key part of our learning environment. Many of my students respond especially well to music-based activities, which help with language development, memory, motor coordination, and emotional regulation. With a MacBook, I can create and organize playlists, record class songs, and integrate music into our daily routines, such as transitions, movement breaks, and phonics lessons. For students with special needs, music often provides a calming structure and helps reinforce routines in an enjoyable and effective way.
