it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Oh, my students! What I truly love about them is their boundless imagination and their fearless approach to creating. They come to my art room with such open hearts and minds, ready to dive into any project with enthusiasm. However, I also see that many of them come from backgrounds where resources are limited, and unfortunately, they are often underrepresented in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. It breaks my heart to think that these bright, creative minds might not see themselves in those innovative spaces. That's why I'm so excited about the 3Doodler Start+ sets.
I truly believe these tools can be a game-changer.
The pens themselves are like magic wands in their hands, allowing them to take the wild ideas in their heads and make them real in three dimensions. For students who learn best by doing, this tactile experience will be invaluable in understanding spatial concepts and the basics of design. The fact that the filament is safe and comes in vibrant colors means they can experiment freely without worry, a crucial aspect for fostering creativity, especially when resources at home might be scarce.
By showing them the fun, creative side of engineering and technology through art, I hope to bridge that gap and spark an interest in STEM that they might not have otherwise discovered. I want them to see that their artistic talents are directly applicable to these fields and that they absolutely belong in the world of innovation.
