My Project

Korean snacks are a fun and engaging way for students in a high school Korean club to introduce their peers to Korean culture. Sharing these traditional and popular snacks creates an experience that helps break down cultural barriers. It provides an easy, approachable entry point for classmates to learn about Korean food and culture. Students can bond over tasting something new, and the act of sharing snacks often sparks conversations, allowing club members to educate others about Korean cuisine and traditions.

This fosters curiosity and opens the door for deeper cultural discussions, making Korean culture more accessible.

Korean-English dictionaries also play a crucial role in helping students share Korean culture. These dictionaries enable Korean club members to teach their peers basic Korean phrases, greetings, and even the Hangul alphabet. Having a reliable language resource on hand allows students to share easy-to-learn words or cultural expressions during club meetings or school events. Whether introducing simple phrases or explaining the significance of certain words, dictionaries help make the language approachable for those unfamiliar with it. This not only promotes greater understanding of the Korean language but also sparks an interest in learning more about Korean culture.

For minority students, engaging in a club like the KHS (Korean Honor Society) provides a sense of safety, community, and belonging. It offers a space where they can connect with others who share similar cultural curiosity, and fosters pride in their interests. At the same time, it provides a platform to explore and share other cultures. Korean games like Gggongi, along with cultural items like Korean-themed stickers, also serve as tools to connect with peers. These activities help create an inclusive environment where students from diverse backgrounds feel encouraged to engage and learn from each other.
