Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have complex communication needs and often require augmentative and alternative communication devices to express themselves. They are in need of kid friendly, durable iPad cases and screen protectors to keep their "voices" from being damaged. Because my students have difficulty communicating, they often benefit from highly motivating objects, like cause and effect toys, to initiate communication with others and participate in social exchanges. We often use pictures and other visual supports to teach vocabulary to our students. Instructional tools, such as unique pointers, will support the students' abilities to engage and attend to instruction. Lastly, the foam letters and board book will be used as an instructional tool enrich student literacy skills.
