This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a wide range of backgrounds. Eighty-five percent of the students in my school receive free or reduced-price lunch. All students love to learn and are often first-generation high school graduates.

Some go to college, while others have to work.

I am proud of whichever path they choose, as long as they are living their best life and are happy. Happiness is what counts and is key to a great future.

I am very fortunate to work with wonderful students every day.

My Project

Imagine not having a clean t-shirt to wear to school? Imagine now, not having a clean shirt that has to be a uniform? That is the case for many of our students. Our district has a Uniformity of Dress Code for all students. I don't want them to have to worry if they don't have a t-shirt. They can still come to school and I will give them one. Many of us take clean clothes for granted. I have a clothes closet in the library and want to keep it well stocked for my students. The t-shirts will be available in all sizes-small, medium, and large. Hanes holds up the best, so that is why I chose those.

They will never have to worry about not being in uniform.

I will have them available if they need a uniform shirt.
