Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We’re requesting soccer jerseys so our girls can show up to practice and games with pride, unity, and a strong team identity. We're also requesting a captain's badge to help promote leadership and sportsmanship on and off the field. These jerseys will be used during after-school practices, scrimmages, and any future games or friendly competitions with nearby schools. The uniforms will help create a sense of belonging, and pride—giving our girls the confidence to show up and play their hearts out. We’re also asking for a captain’s badge to highlight leadership on the field. Each month, a different student will be nominated by her peers or coach to wear the badge. This promotes responsibility, accountability, and personal growth—helping our girls develop real-life leadership skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Having uniforms may seem small, but for our girls, it’s a big deal—it brings confidence, builds school spirit, and helps them feel recognized and empowered.
