Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I want to motivate my advanced students with new resources because they are always willing to learn more.
I teach sixth grade students in a public school.
They are really interested in tornadoes and hurricanes. They want to find answers that go deeper in the content and this book is a good option. I would like them to better see the concepts with the great images this book has.
My Project
By using the book, Monster Storms," my students will be able to get more information about the formation of hurricanes and tornadoes. They will get real data about instruments that measure weather factors like dew point and using that data they will understand why tornadoes are more likely to occur in specific places.
These books will make the difference because although I explain the facts, some students are visual learners and need to see pictures to understand.
When students can read and reread the ideas, he/she can grab its meaning much better. Thank you for your support.
