Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Empathy in action! As a first-year educator working at a Title I school, my class is in dire need of classroom supplies. My school site is experiencing a supplies shortage in which my students’ education experience is greatly affected.
With these supplies and storage, my students will gain access to materials to enrich their education, especially when most of my students are underrepresented minorities.
Additionally, having a classroom full of supplies will spark new found enthusiasm and hungry for knowledge! They’ll be excited to use the pencils, crayons and paper to write narratives and illustrate their writing and number representation of math facts with pencils and crayons with twinkling eyes!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
