This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing students with the resources to pursue and improve their reading skills is one of the main goals of my classroom community. The more students read, the more they can improve their reading stamina and attention to detail. These skills will help serve them beyond an ELA classroom.
As our high school students move towards adulthood, it is important for them to be exposed to concepts and information related to financial literacy.
Some of the books included in this DonorsChoose project focus on financial literacy for young adults, and even specifically Black women.
Through this project, students will have access to the time and resources to books that are written to help students gain foundational knowledge that will help propel them towards financial security, stability, and prosperity.
