Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager to learn. They come from low socioeconomic status. If learning in fun they learn quickly. I would like to raise funds for their Environmental Science and biomedical Innovation class. Our school is Title I school.
Students enjoy learning when they perform labs and understand real world situations.
I teach AP level and on-level.
Clean and nice environment always attracts my students.
My curriculum is on-line for environment sustainability and biomedical innovation.
To make my school a more vibrant and engaging place for students to learn I need your help.
My Project
To teach students in the 21st century, we teachers need to create an environment where students learn, explore and communicate effectively with their peers. Items I have requested will fulfill the needs of my students in understanding environmental science by experimenting water quality in our lakes, rivers, bayou, tap and many other locations. Students will investigate water sample for many factors- such as temperature, pH, turbidity, coliforms, nitrates, phosphates and dissolved oxygen and their effect in our aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
With the advances in technology our students need to have access to computers and electronic accessories.
I have almost 80 students in Environmental Sustainability course which is an online course. Many videos are embedded in this course and students need to research many documentaries. Headphones are essential for my students to learn in a highly effective manner that is conducive to student-centered learning.
Finally to make my classroom environment a nurturing and pleasant place to be I have requested laminating paper and air fresheners.
