This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The project will assist me in teaching my students about the importance of economics. We do various projects throughout the year, but we are very limited in what we can do because of the lack of resources at the school.

Economics is not just about money.

Economics is the study of making the most of life including decision-making, budgeting, and weighing decisions against each other. In my class, I have students keep a budget with fake classroom money. Many of the items are going to be used as aids and prizes for the students if they have enough money to buy them.

We will also be using things like whiteboards, Expo markers, and much more to aid students in what we are going over for the day. These supplies will be used by all students throughout the year at our high school.
