My Students
I am lucky enough to be a specialist at my middle school. Our school is quite large serving around 1000 students. We have students from wide variety of diverse backgrounds that help to weave together the tapestry of our school.
We are working hard to create a supportive and inclusive community of learners.
We want all of our students to reach their full potential in middle school and beyond. The culture that we work to create sets the tone that our students learn to.
My Project
No kid wants to ask their teacher for underwear, particularly middle school students, but that doesn't change the fact that at our school there are students who are in need of these items. We want to have everything they need in order to be successful at school, even the more embarrassing stuff.
These undergarments will be used in our clothing closet, and will serve to give students a little taste of comfort when they are going through a hard time.
For our clothing closet, we normally take donations of clothes, but for underwear I wanted to make sure that everything was new and sanitary. DonorsChoose.org is the best way for the community to assist our kiddos in this area.
