This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in an area that is high needs. We often come across students who have needs of basic necessities and their families are on a limited budget to provide those items.

By being able to provide our students with some of the basic necessities if life we can help them feel confident in coming to school and teach them the power of community support.

Giving our students some of their basic needs helps them be more prepared for school and focusing on the academic portion of school. Being able to provide this to our students builds the secure climate that we work so hard to emulate in our school.
