This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A small group of elementary librarians in my district are collaborating to do some high interest lessons in the library this year on ocean and underwater animals. These engaging books and activities will motivate students to read and research many different types of marine life.
Research skills and online resource lessons will be taught to students during their weekly library classes and ongoing projects and activities will continue weekly.
Teacher input and collaboration will provide information for planning these lessons for each grade level. Some book extension activities will take place for first and second grade with more extensive research lessons being provided for third and fourth grade.
