This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are highly motivated students whose academic focus tends to be on STEM. Through this project, I want to provide them with a personal library where they can check out books that tell of experiences they can relate to: moving, family, identity, culture, music, etc.

This library will foster their sense of community because the goal is for them to share what they loved and how the particular stories helped cultivate a sense of belonging and feeling seen as part of their families both within school and beyond the classroom.
