My Students

My class is full of intelligent students that need the opportunity to let their creative juices flow. This year, I am starting a new daily creative writing series called unjournaling. This new approach to daily writing will allow my students to express themselves through unique writing prompts, leaving them with a journal full of writing memories from their time in fourth grade. Unjournaling is a new approach to writing in a way that will inspire kids to enjoy writing in and out of the classroom!

My Project

My students love our daily journal prompts, but this year, I plan to excite them with a new concept. Un-Journaling is a new approach to getting students to think more creatively.

Un-Journaling is a creative approach to daily writing which uses prompts such as "write a story about a girl named Dot, without using any letters with dots (such as i or j)!"

In order for this concept to work, my students need supplies! We need teacher books that give prompts to kick start the writing process. We also need colored post-it's and colored pens to make our journals more exciting!

At the end of the school year, every student will have a completed Un-Journal to take home as a keepsake of their time in the fourth grade.
