My Students

We are a small, rural community with hard-working students who need assistance with acquiring resources. Elementary music is provided for every K-6 student in our district, and we are expanding our high school music course offerings as well.

Our K-5 students are excited to come to class each time and are constantly asking, "When can we play instruments?" Our current inventory was salvaged from past classrooms, last used over fifteen years ago, and our school is working hard to update it to fit our current needs.

To help start up our new elementary music program, we are asking for your help! These students deserve the same enriching opportunities as those in other parts of our state or country. We are asking for you to help build our inventory of instruments to get these students developing music independence and to make music fun.

The music room is a unique place for collaboration and where we can achieve great things together. It is my goal to inspire the passion of making music as a community, and what better time than now! These students deserve the best!

My Project

We are very close to supplying our students with enough ukuleles for each of them to have their own during music class. To keep each other safe, we cannot share instruments during our class period. These ukuleles are easy to disinfect after each class, so they can be used across grade levels after proper cleaning.

Students will learn faster and in a safe manner when they have their own ukulele to play.

After this long spring and summer apart, students are excited to be together making music again. I can't count how many times students come into class and ask, "When are we going to play the ukulele?" With your help, every student will be given the same opportunity to play an instrument.
