This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an elementary music teacher, I'm always looking for ways to give my students meaningful and joyful experiences with music.
Many of my students have limited access to instruments outside of school, and I want to provide them with opportunities to learn in ways that are fun, hands-on, and engaging.
Ukulele's are a perfect fit for young learners- they're approachable, affordable, and help students build a strong foundation in music. With a classroom set of ukuleles, I'll be able to teach basic chords, strumming patterns, and even simple songs that students can sing and play together. This will not only build their musical skills, but also their confidence, teamwork, and creativitiy.
