This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach PreK-8th grade students who love to play instruments. Over the years I have accumulated a number of instruments, primarily guitar, for my students to learn but they are too big for the hands of many of my younger students.
If we had a class set of ukuleles, so many children would have the opportunity to learn to play a beautiful new instrument!
I know that they would learn to play the basic chords easily and quickly progress to playing and performing songs as an ensemble after just a few weeks.
