My Project

My students are amazing. This is a school designed to give kids a second or third (and even more when needed) chance. We work with the toughest of the tough kids and attempt to get them to re-ignite their love for learning.

With this project, I am going to engage the students in a fun project that has them use the engineering design process, along with having the design a functional structure.

This is for a STEAM classroom that is used to re-engage our students in learning, as well as teach them it is okay to fail.

This Project will offer them a hands-on learning experience that engages students in multiple fields of study. They are working with resin epoxy projects in class for some hands-on projects. They will use the epoxy to create and engage with STEM projects. The group I am working with is really engaged in this project. When this group loves something, I do my best to support them. Help me help them love learning again. These supplies allow them to smooth their projects. They will focus on building clocks and lamps with these supplies. Resin crafting will introduce them to the science of materials, as they learn about the properties of resin, its chemical reactions, and how to manipulate it for various purposes.

This project encourages not only creativity and innovation but also careful planning, problem-solving, and attention to detail. It’s a perfect example of how STEAM learning can be both educational and exciting. Additionally, the resin production process serves as a practical demonstration of mathematics, as we begin to calculate proportions, volumes, and shapes when creating our designs. This combination of science, technology, engineering, art, and math makes resin projects an exciting and well-rounded project for a STEAM class.
