Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school population is filled with siblings across different grade levels, which makes our community full of love. I teach art across all levels and this year we are planning on having a collaborative project between our middle school artists and our little TK and Kinder artists!

These supplies will help bridge the line between flat, 2-dimensional objects into 3-dimensional, tangible ideas.

My middle school students will be learning basic sewing skills to help bring the ideas and imaginative inventions from TK and Kinder artists to life. We will be creating felt ugly dolls based on drawings our younger artists will create and we will be giving them their dolls just before winter break as a gift!

Your donation will not only help show my little TK and kinder artists the amazing things we can create using our imagination, but it will also teach my middle school students basic sewing skills that they can use for the rest of their lives.
