My Project
I am beginning a new program called UFLI for phonics and currently my students do not have magnet letters or magnetic boards for the word building part of the lesson. I would attach the printable mats from UFLI onto The Folding Magnetic Dry Erase Learning Project Scrum Whiteboards, which have spots for all the Foam Phonics Magnetic Foam Reading Tiles so students would be able to jump right into word building once I put them together.
Word-building is the foundation of learning to read and spell multisyllabic words, so building graphemes a syllable at a time shows students how multisyllabic words work for decoding and encoding.
