I am seeking the teaching manuals for the Foundations phonics program from the University of Florida Literacy. I am asking for the manual so my teaching team and I have access to an explicit and systematic program for teaching our second graders the foundational reading skills necessary for proficient reading. Foundations follows a carefully developed scope and sequence designed to ensure that students systematically acquire each skill needed and learn to apply each skill with automaticity and confidence. We will use this program as the primary instruction for our FLEX (intervention) group and share our resources to engage struggling readers at the upper grades. This is one of the top resources for students to master phonics and our students would greatly benefit from receiving it. We are a Title I school, and we are an ESOL school.
