U-shaped Table to Support Math Instruction!

My students need a kidney table to support small group math instruction and support math intervention.

My Students

I have two sections of 20 students each, who come from a variety of backgrounds.

My students come to school every morning ready to jump into the day, and I want to help keep them engaged by giving them hands-on opportunities to learn about mathematics. My boys thrive off of using their tactile skills, and being physically involved in the learning process.

My Project

My 6th grade math students will benefit from a u-shaped table during small group, intervention, and center time. This table will help me to reteach target students who need additional support.

At this table, I will address the specific needs of my students.

After whole group instruction, students work in small groups. While students are working in groups, I have the opportunity to check in with them. I will be able to group students with similar needs and reteach the content.

This table will also be used during math centers where each group of students will have the opportunity to work with me, to support their academic deficiencies and help push academic growth.
