Typing Challenges are a Big Deal!

My Project

My students look forward to our Typing Club Challenges each year. I teach 3-5th graders the correct way to type and what better way to encourage them is through rewards!

Each week, all my classes have to do a typing challenge.

They type for one minute and their goal is to get 10 words per minute. They are awarded each week starting at 10 WPM on up. We have board where they can move their name each time they move up, plus gain a prize!

Because there are about 350 students in this school, it would be so nice to have some of these items donated verses coming out of my pocket. I'm so proud of my students and when I see them using correct finger placement and working hard to type sentences (and not "pecking")...I want to cheer and rewards them all with pens, pencils, markers and more!
