My Students
A typical day in my classrooms is one where students are working together to synthesize their thoughts and trying to take their learning to the next level.
My students are New Yorkers who live on the fast lane, but unfortunately this fast paced life has many bumps along the road.
For instance, many of my students do not have Internet access or even a computer to get their work done. We live in a face paced world where technology has caused a major change in the ways kids learn, the way they are taught, and the way that it has become apart of their everyday life.
My Project
The use of keyboards with the iPads makes the iPads a more useful tool in the classroom because we do not have enough laptops for the entire class. Therefore, many students have to share laptops and it takes them even longer to get their work done, especially when it comes to the writing of an essay.
With this project, students can not only type essays, some can do research and take notes at the same time.
This would be the best way to adapt all the tools that technology has to offer. Let's help my students get the best that technology has to offer. Keyboards equal technological freedom to use, compose and present your thinking on the screen. Let's bring their writing to life, keyboards in the classroom, gets them one step closer to that.
