My Project

Please help me get 2 kidney tables to comfortably seat 4 students with adequate space for learning materials. My goal is to provide a comfortable and adequate learning space for two teachers in order to facilitate a positive learning experience for our students during small group instruction.

Kidney tables provide adequate personal space and proximity to the teacher which in turn will support emotional regulation, increase time on task, and support for the goal of closing the achievement gap for struggling learners.

Our school has provided "half moon" tables for small groups that lack the space for 4 students to sit and work. These tables are only meant for 3 students. It is a struggle to fit 4-5 students with their materials. This lack of space causes behaviors that interrupt the short time we are together for learning. Learning materials are often piled on the floor in order to have access to them during a lesson.
