Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a public school system grades 6-8 in San Fernando California. At the current time, our district is having us teach using remotely which means I only see my kiddos through a tiny laptop screen. I am always hoping to give my students the best education and experience possible. I have many students who have special needs and need more support visually. I have many tabs open because of this. My students often complain that they have a hard time seeing the text since my screen is limited.
My Project
The second screen will be used at home during remote learning. I will use my laptop to run Zoom features of the class. Such as having the chat window open and the participants window open so I can keep track of student participation.
On the second screen, I can focus on showing content in larger text so my students and I can have a better experience I will be able to also have multiple windows open which will help with engagement.
Once we are able to return to campus the monitor will be used for my theater class to edit content. I will transfer the monitor to the classroom for student use.
