My Students
I teach algebra and geometry to ninth and tenth grade students. It is important that I provide them with a strong foundation in math, so they will be successful in upper level math and science classes.
Equipping my classroom with a second monitor will allow me to better serve learners.
Our school has been utilizing more technology because of the pandemic. We have been in person and online and the second screen will allow for more efficiency. I will be able to place the students in groups and check in on them in a timely fashion.
My Project
This has been a challenging year for students. They have had to transition between in person and remote learning. Anything I can do as a teacher to make this year more enjoyable for my students is a bonus.
A second screen will allow me to engage more students in digital learning activities.
As a teacher, I have grown so much in terms of technology and alternate ways of delivering instruction. The kids have learned as well, and many of the changes are here to stay. Gone are the days when an absent student waits for his/her return to school to learn of missing assignments. Gone are the days of not being able to self check math homework. Gone are the days of not being able to communicate with classmates and the teacher unless one is physically in school. The skills we have learned will help us in the long run. Technology is here to stay and working with one screen seems like it is holding us back!
