My students live in the very diverse neighborhood in Queens. They attend a NYC public school in Kew Gardens. Some of my students come from low-income families. They are extremely hard-working and creative 5th graders. Many apply to attend the NYC middle school of their choice which will even further advance their educational career. Each and every day they give their all. They enjoy working in groups and helping each other in their learning journey. Engagement is the key to success.
My Project
The possibilities of an additional iPads in the classroom are endless. Can you imagine being a student and hearing the news that you are getting two more iPads! The 4 iPad we previously received have been so helpful and motivating for students. Another one will help my students even more. Additional iPads will allow additional students, groups, or partnerships to utilize online programs. It has been so nice to see my students be so eager to work on math practice or to read a book online. It has been especially helpful for my ESL students. The additional support for students has been successful and I would like to see that success continue. Today technology is such an important part of student's lives.
