The young students in my class come to me at all different levels, some of them have been in structured school like settings before, while others have never been away from their parents. It is my responsibility to meet each child at their current level and take them as far as they can go.
My students come from all over our great city to go to Pre-K.
Therefore, I have families of all different income/poverty levels. Our city was recently struck by two tornadoes, destroying schools, business's and many neighborhoods. Our school year came to an abrupt end and we are looking forward to starting again in August.
My Project
With two new iPad Mini's and headphones my students would be able to access the many great apps that are available. My students could use this technology to learn new skills and to reinforce skills already introduced. We would also like to incorporate the use of this technology into our tutoring and enrichment program, where our Pre-K and kindergarten students are given various opportunities throughout the week to work on very specific skills.
With your generous donation our dream of making our classroom and tutoring program the best it can be will be one step closer to reality.
You will be equipping these young children with the skills they need to succeeded.
