This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My second grade class is comprised of 24 highly motivated English language learners. My school is located in South Central Los Angeles. My school is comprised of African American and Latino students. My students are special because they know that if you come to school every day, then great things happen. Great things are happening in my classroom every day. My second grade students are excited to explore technology in our classroom. I'm excited to expose my students to technology across the curriculum.
My Project
My students would use these Chromebooks throughout the school day. We currently only have 1 laptop that I have to share with my students. Adding these 2 Chromebooks would give more of my students an opportunity to be exposed to technology in my classroom. We have a computer lab at my school but we are limited to only 40 minutes a week at the computer lab.
My students would use the Chromebooks for multiple subjects throughout the day.
My plan is to have my students review Language Arts and Math skills during independent work time, prepare PowerPoints for Science, and to practice their keyboarding skills.
These Chromebooks would give my students more technology opportunities throughout the school day.
