What are my students like?
Amazing, talented, kind, and passionate about learning. I have a 3rd grade room full of 22 learners who are motivated to learn and even more excited when technology is involved. They amaze me more and more each day as they collaborate with others to grow their little minds. They work together to help each other and support one another on our educational journey as we challenge each other and celebrate our successes together.
My Project
My students will be using the iPads with cases and headphones in almost every subject area. We will be tweeting to share what we are learning to our followers. This will open the door to other classrooms around the nation as well as our parents. We will be able to keep them informed of all the interesting things we are learning about. We will be recording books and listening to each other to give feedback to improve our fluency. My students will also use the iPads to practice their math skills. They will use different apps to write and illustrate their own stories. Overall, my students will learn how an iPad can be incorporated into our learning, not replace it. They will also learn how and what it takes to be a good digital citizen.
Currently I have one iPad in my room that I purchased myself and from day 1 it has made a huge impact.
My students are very motivated to read and write using the iPad and it is already making a difference in their every day work. We are loving tweeting to let all our followers know what we are learning about. We are preparing ourselves for the future.
