This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a school counselor at a high school! I have started a program to get students to attend the tutoring intervention. Students will get a log to complete. Each time they go to tutoring they will get a signature. If they get a total of five signatures we will have an activity and a special treat at lunch. We are thinking Hot dogs, Pizza, or Nacho Bar.

This initiative is so that students can be more motivated to get the help they need at the new tutoring center we have here on campus.

We find that our students have a hard time asking for help. I want to alleviate the stress and advertise the help we have.
